The tantalum ingot (tant-a-lum) was added because MCE just randomly said he kinda wanted to add it in. CrazyGuy had the idea of adding an effect when you put on tantalum, since tantalum is quite corrosion resistant to a lot of acids, except hydrofluoric acid and hot sulfuric acid. CrazyGuy then thought what kind of effect in minecraft that is somewhat similar, so he thought of fire protection. Right now the ingot is just used to make the armor.

Trivia[ | ]
- Real tantalum is corrosion resistant to a lot of acids. Except hydrofluoric acid and hot sulfuric acid.
- CrazyGuy had the idea of putting the fire protect effect for the armor because it was similar to the corrosion resistance of actual tantalum.
- Not to mention that tantalum also has quite a high melting point.
