The propane tank texture was from the empty tank. The item was added in when MCE created the texture for ForsakenTurkey's mod for the full can. He told him you could just take an actual image of a can, shrink it down and you got the texture. MCE did this while ForsakenTurkey made his own in photoshop. MCE then made the middle part red, and saw it as a propane tank, and added them in. Instead of calling them cans, he named them as tanks.
From 16w08a and above, the word "Tank" was taken out and is now just called "Propane".
