Phosphorite was added to make the transistor a little more realistic. It needed phosphorus, so this ore was added. The red texture parts were taken from the chorus flower plant, tinted red and put onto the stone texture.
You need an stone pick or higher to mine the block, and it is smelted into three Phosphorus Dusts instead of it just dropping dust.
