Fences are wooden wall like blocks. You can not jump over them, however, you can walk on top of them. They count as one and a half blocks tall for the player. Even with this, you can still place blocks on top of it, such as torches.

The fences occupy the center of a block and connects to any solid block that it next to it. They connect to each other too, even if they are different types. The normal fence in the game however, doesn't connect to different types of fences.

The fence posts from the mod can also have leads on them, just like the normal fences.

Natural Occurrence

For normal fences, they can generate as a part of NPC Villages, Abandoned Mine Shafts, strongholds, and which huts. However, this does not occur with the mod fences.

Trivia

  • The fences from the mod can connect to different types. Ex: willow fence can connect to birch, etc.
  • The fences can actually connect with normal, but it only does the mod's fence's side of the connection. The normal fence doesn't connect to other fences, so half the space between the two fences is only filled.
  • Fences can also connect to walls.
  • All fences (mod and normal) can connect to fence gates.
